吸附式干燥机可分为三种:无热再生吸附式干燥机，微热再生吸附式干燥机和组合式干燥机。由于脱水原理的限制，冷冻式干燥机处理后的空气压力露点温度只能达到：2--8℃，在一些空气品质要求较高的场合，不能满足用气要求，只能使用吸附式干燥机和组合式干燥机。吸附式干燥机是根据变压吸附原理，利用干燥机本身特有的微孔，通过毛细作用吸附空气中的水分，利用自身及微热再生方法对压缩空气进行吸附干燥，使其能达到露点温度为-40--- - 70℃。
